Cynthia Marie Skoloda Mannasmith, 51, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 10, 2011 at her home. For thirty years, she worked in social services. Most recently, she was a case worker supervisor with Union County Job and Family Services and formerly was associated with the Mahoning County Court system in child support services for twelve years with Judge John Leskovansky in Youngstown. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Poland, Ohio and was a 1978 graduate of Struthers High School. She enjoyed bowling, watching movies, playing board games and loved to cook and entertain. She liked animals, especially Koala bears. She was also an avid shopper, antique collector and liked visiting Holmes County. She will be well remembered for being an extraordinary listener, but she also loved to talk. She was born December 4, 1959 in Youngstown to the late Edward and Marietta Vince Skoloda. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Helen Skoloda; and a good friend, Rose Tomko. She is survived by her daughter, Carlye Rose Mannasmith and her husband, Bruce N. Mannasmith, both of Marysville; her brother, Edward (Nancy) Skoloda, Jr. of Struthers; two nephews, Edward and James Skoloda, both of Struthers; her step-children Jarrod, Devon and Aubri Mannasmith; a brother-in-law, Larry (Tammy) Mannasmith of Richwood; a sister-in-law, Colleen (Walter) Fiant of Caledonia; many aunts and uncles; and numerous loving friends, including Lynda and Nick Nietz, Janet and Sam Pitzulo and Mindy, Kaitlyn and Greg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1033 West Fifth Street, Marysville. The Rev. Fr. David A. Poliafico will officiate and burial will be later at Oakdale Cemetery in Marysville. The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Underwood Funeral Home, 703 East Fifth Street, Marysville.
