Charles Henry Medley, Sr., age 80, of Marysville, died Thursday, March 31, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family. A truck driver for 18 years, he was an associate of Columbus Merchandise. He also served as a sales manager for Ohio Pre-Stain Company in Columbus. He enjoyed horses and loved helping his grandkids with their equine 4-H projects. He also liked woodworking. He was a graduate of Pennsville High School where he played basketball. He was born February 26, 1936 in Morgan County to the late Frank and Marjorie Best Medley. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roger. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vonda L. Nelson Medley, whom he married August 3, 1958 in Morgan County; his children, Lynn (Jeff) Haag of Florida, Sharon (Jeff) Begley of North
Carolina, Mary (Pat) McGuire of Marysville, Jeff (Sherry) Medley of Raymond and Charles H. Medley, Jr. of Grove City; his 14 grandchildren, Rachel, Todd and Sarah Haag, Stacey, Ethan and Shane Begley, William, Patrick (Jordyn) and Zach McGuire, Danny, Gabby, Levi, Michaela and Heath Medley; two great-granddaughters, AJ and Grace; two sisters, Anna Rose McInturf, Ruth (Karl) Vermace; two brothers, Ralph (Joy) Medley and Robert (Karen) Medley; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Underwood Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Malta Union Cemetery in Malta. Pastor Fred Bowman will officiate. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.underwood16.wpengine.com.
