Carole S. Schwartz

Carole Sue (Warrick) Schwartz, age 77, of Marysville, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at Hospice at Riverside Kobacker House. She was born on January 4, 1943 in Union County to Sterling L. and Belle D. (Henry) Warrick.

Carole was a 1961 graduate of Northwestern High School in Raymond then she spent many years working as a receptionist at the Optometry office of Dr. Courtney Poling. She was a member of Twig No. 8 of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star, Mary Chapter No. 9. She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. A member of the Marysville Art League and the Red Hat Society, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and giving back to the community. Carole was the life of the party and never met a stranger.

She married her husband of 59 years, Paul Schwartz, on June 25, 1961 in West Mansfield. Together they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. She was the ultimate hostess, always opening her home to family for holidays and reunions. A skilled baker and cake decorator, she was a self-proclaimed dessertarian. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Her fondest memories were of the times she spent with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracie Tatman; son-in-law, Timothy Snow; two brothers, Verl and Paul Warrick; and her parents Sterling and Belle Warrick. She is survived by her husband, Paul W. Schwartz; her daughter, Cherie Snow; her son, Jonathan (Tonia) Schwartz; her grandchildren, Nick (Jessica) Davis and Elena Snow; and her son-in-law, Mike Tatman; and many other relatives. Her wit, wisdom, and unconditional love will always be a gift to those who knew and loved her.

A funeral procession will form at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Underwood Funeral Home and proceed to Oakdale Cemetery for a 2:30 p.m. graveside service officiated by Rev. Barry Scott.
