Beulah “Bea” Baker Thompson, age 87, of Ostrander, died Friday, October 29, 2021 after several months of failing health. Bea spent her entire married life as a homemaker and being her husband’s “right-hand-man,” assisting him in his remodeling and building business. She was born August 7, 1934 in Union County to George and Elva Evilsizor Baker. She was also preceded in death on January 20, 2021 by her husband of 65 years, Dwight C. Thompson; stepsons, Curtis and Dwight E. “Bub” Thompson; her brother, Carl Baker; her sisters, Betty Clingerman, Frances Stone and Gladys Young; her step-sister, Bertha Harris; her step-brother, Lester McCannaughey; her sister-in-law, RuthAnn Baker and Helen Scott; a brother-and sister-in-law, Van and Bertha Thompson. She is survived by a stepson, Richard Thompson; a stepdaughter, Travis J. Vandran; her daughters-in-law, Marcia Thompson and Jeanne Thompson; her step-grandchildren, Craig (Kelley) Thompson and Chad (Becca) Thompson, Kelley Walsh, Dwight Robert (Ashley) Thompson and Kristi Thompson; her step-great grandchildren, Chase and Cara Thompson, Nora Walsh, Graham and Griffin Thompson; her brother, Ray Baker; a sister-in-law, Norma Baker; a brother-in-law, Carlton (Janet) Thompson; and many other relatives. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Jerome Cemetery. Underwood Funeral Home is assisting the family.
