Beth A Beachy

August 5, 1958 - August 18, 2014

Beth Ann Merrill Beachy, 56, of Marysville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 18, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.

A 1976 graduate of Fairbanks High School, she attended Marysville Church of Christ where she was a dedicated and faithful friend to everyone. Beth especially enjoyed attending summer church camp and loved working side by side with her kitchen cohorts. She enjoyed careers with Pampered Chef, Thirty-One Gifts and The Vintage Gardeners.

Always the “voice of reason,” she had an uplifting spirit. She was able to attend a church lunch, family dinner and somebody’s birthday party all on the same day – and made each feel like they were the reason she was there. Beth was devoted to her children and had a very special relationship with all her nieces and nephews. She was a dedicated Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and easily shared her humor and wit. She was loved dearly by her family and friends. Her joyful and beautiful soul will be missed “forever and ever.” Beth’s final days were spent sharing her gratitude for the many special and devoted friends who helped and supported her as she fought her courageous battle. Go Browns!

She was born August 5, 1958 in Cleveland to C. Ray and Norma Zurc Merrill, who survive in Marysville. She is also survived by her husband of 17 years, Myron Beachy, whom she married December 14, 1997 at Marysville Church of Christ; her children, Emily Fite, Michael (Tessa) Fite and Jenny Fite; her grandson, Benjamin Michael Fite; two sisters, Jane (John) Wolfe of Plain City and Laurie (Gary) Gorton of Irwin; a brother, William (Kathy) Merrill of Plain City; nieces and nephews, Shawnda (Jonathan) Vega, John (Darha) Wolfe, Timothy Wolfe, Kaitlin Ricker, Tyler Merrill, Zachary Merrill, Whitney (Michael) Crye, Tucker (Theresa Wines) Gorton and Kiefer Gorton; great nieces, Kylie and Averie Wolfe and Olive and Eloise Crye; and a great nephew, Alex Vega.

To honor Beth, a memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Saturday at Marysville Church of Christ, 18077 State Route 31, Marysville, where her family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Marysville Church of Christ/North Western Ohio Christian Youth Camp Kitchen Fund at .
