Bernice Harper Myers, age 89, of Delaware, died Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Ohio Living Sarah Moore with her children at her side. She was a retired associate of the custodial services department at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana for many years. She was a longtime member of Halteman Village Baptist Church in Muncie. She enjoyed antiquing, playing the piano and spending time with her family, especially her grandson. A true coal miner’s daughter, she was born November 25, 1933 in Nauvoo, Alabama to the late Grady and Bertha Bonner Harper. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Myers. She is survived by her son, Steve (Hazel) Myers of Delaware; her daughter, Beth (Hubert) Corum of Connersville, Indiana; her grandson, Adam (Erin) Myers; step-grandchildren, Kimberly (Andy) Hicks, Kevin Glore, Kristopher (Gidget) Glore, Eric (Brandy) Corum and Amber (David) Hill; her step-great-grandchildren, Natassja Myers, Alyssa Myers, Shaun Myers, Josie Corum, Grady Hill and Avery Hill; her brothers, Grady (Helen) Harper, Jr. and Keith (Sylvia) Harper; and many other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 at Underwood Funeral Home in Marysville, where the family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Pastor Dennis McKibben will officiate and interment will be held later in Milroy, Indiana.
