Barbara L. Krasovic, 58, of Marysville, died early Saturday morning, December 31, 2011 at The Gables at Green Pastures following a long battle with cancer. A beloved wife, mother, daughter and friend, she was a third grade teacher at North Union Elementary School, where she taught for nearly 20 years. She was a former teacher at Sacred Heart School in Wadsworth. Known as “Mrs. K” by her students, she dedicated most of her life to improving the education and lives of her students and refused to let her illness get in the way of her teaching. She touched countless lives throughout the years and she will be sorely missed by all of those who knew her. She was 1972 graduate of Wadsworth High School and received a bachelor’s degree at University of Akron and a master’s degree in education from Wright State University. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she was a former choir member. She enjoyed traveling around the country with her daughter to attend concerts by The Dave Matthews Band. She liked to go with friends to craft shows. She was born November 18, 1953 in New York, New York and was predeceased by her father, Louis Kovacs. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Leonard “Len” Krasovic, whom she married July 2, 1977 in Barberton; her daughter, Heather Krasovic of Marysville; her mother, Dorothy Siple Kovacs of Wadsworth; two brothers, Jim (Gail) Kovacs of Wadsworth and Richard (Irene) Kovacs of Boca Raton, FL; three nieces, McKenzie, Cortney and Alisa Kovacs; a nephew, Steven Kovacs; and brothers- and sisters- in law, Ed (Lucy) Krasovic, Bob (Cheryl) Krasovic, Alice (John) Morisak and Annette Krasovic; and her mother- and father-in-law, Rosemary and Ernest Krasovic of Barberton. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Underwood Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Fr. David A.
