Anna Spitler Seslar

Anna Louise “Anne” Spitler Schwartz Seslar, age 74, and her husband, Robert V. Seslar of Bostic, North Carolina, tragically died Sunday, January 24, 2021. Born and raised in Marysville, Anne was a 1964 graduate of Marysville High School where she was head majorette.  Following graduation, she attended cosmetology school and worked as a beautician.  She also was an associate with the Union County Sheriff’s Office. During the 1970’s as a young mother, she began her food sales career. She enjoyed knitting, entertaining, socializing, and participating in book clubs and Bible studies. She also loved to travel and recently served as president of the Airstream club, “Wally Byam Caravan Club Intl.” Above all, she was a devout Christian, and a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She was born May 12, 1946 in Columbus to the late Charles L. and Amie Catherine Cowman Spitler. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Judith Ann Mathews and Joanne Spitler Dayton; a grandson, Matthew Schwartz; and a great-grandson, Israel Plyler. She is survived by her children, Michael “Scott” Schwartz and Jeffrey Paul Schwartz, both of Florida and Amie (Bryan) Garcia of Carlsbad, California; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Sophie, Sarah, Evan, Alisa, Stephanie, Doug, Samantha and Jennifer; many great-grandchildren; her sister, Charlene (Harley Duane) Jolliff of Richwood; her father-in-law, Robert V. Seslar, Sr. of Palm Harbor, Florida; her sister-in-law, Deborah Seslar (Wally) Boyle of Palm Harbor, FL; her stepbrother-in-law, Jimmy (Judi) Skaggs of Cocoa, Florida; and nieces and nephews and other relatives. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Oakdale Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MaryHaven at the Mills Center, 715 South Plum Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040.  Underwood Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at
