Anna M. Wiley Borders, 81, of Marysville, formerly of Sunbury, died Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Memorial Hospital of Union County. She retired from Ohio Bell after almost 34 years. She grew up in Croton, Ohio where she graduated from high school. She enjoyed baking and canning. She also liked gardening, especially tending to her flowers. She was born October 1, 1932 in Campbell, Kentucky to the late William G. and Catherine Schwab Wiley. She was also predeceased by her foster parents, C. Everett and Catherine E. Clapham; her husband of 43 years, Arlie J. Borders; and her brother- and sister-in-law, Bob and Bernice Wiley. She is survived by two sons, Randall (Diana) Anderson of Tucson, AZ and Arlie B. (Corina) Borders of Marysville; a daughter, Amy R. Chaffin of Marysville; eight grandchildren, Landi, Nathan, Timothy, Brandon, Danielle, Travis, Tyler and Kaleb; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Ed (Pat) Wiley of El Cajon, California; sisters-in-law, Pearl Churella, Jewel Tucker, Carolyn Mullins, Evelyn Fannin and Katherine (Doug) Patton; and a brother-in-law, Earl (Rosemary) Borders; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Underwood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m. Pastor Jerry McQueen of Living Hope Church will officiate.
