Eileene Rausch

Eileene W. Kirby Rausch, 94, of Marysville, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at The Gables at Green Pastures. Lovingly known to family and friends as “Grammy,” she was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church and First Presbyterian Church of Marysville. She enjoyed needlepoint, fishing, bowling and was a former member of King’s Daughters. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and Marysville High School softball and football games. She was born April 1, 1917 in Akron. She was predeceased in 1999 by her husband, Leroy “Boob” E. C. Rausch; her father, John Kirby, her mother, Myrtle Rausch Gabriel and her stepfather, Ted Gabriel; a sister, Florence Hurd; and a brother, Harold “Bud” Kirby. She is survived by a son, Larry (Helen) Fox of Milford Center; a daughter, Marilyn “Dee Dee” Fox of Columbus; her grandchildren, John (Rebecca) Miller of West Mansfield, Pam Fox of Grove City, Tim (Monica) Fox of Marysville and Teri (Justin) Story of Marysville; three great-grandchildren, Matthew (Tiffany) Miller, Darik Parker and Nicholas Story; two great-great-grandsons, Quentin and Brady Miller; a niece, Shirley Shuler; a nephew, Tom (Janice) Hurd; and many other family members and friends. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Underwood Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. John M. Groat will officiate and burial will be beside her husband at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marysville High School Girls’ Softball Team.     I am so sorry to hear about Eileene. Our sympathies are with you especially at this time of year. She lived a great life and I remember her and my mother talking on the phone until the wee hours of the night! Just know that I will be thinking of you since I cannot be there in person.

      Im sorry to say I wont be there today, due to illness. I was lkinoog forward to speaking with Eloises grandchildren, whom I grew up around. I just want everyone to know that Eloise was my angel, she helped me threw a really hard time in my life. I know if it wasnt for her, I would of not made it this far. I loved her with all my heart, and listened dearly to all of her advice. Im very greatfull to of had her apart of my life, she will always be in my heart. Her beautifull smile, will what I will never forget. when Im not feeling so good, all think of her bright and bubbly laughter! God Bless her family. Love Lori Gruett ( Chris Boergers grandaughter).
