Jean Dalton

Jean Duzan Dalton, 76, of Marysville died Friday, August 3, 2012 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. A devoted homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she worked part-time for several years for Century Resources, a school fundraising company in Columbus. Of the Baptist faith, she enjoyed flower gardening and bird watching and in her earlier years, was an avid bowler. She was born February 9, 1936 in Portsmouth and was predeceased by her father, Clifford Duzan and her mother, Ethel Smith Duzan Lemon. She was also predeceased on February 2, 2012 by her husband, Clinton E. Dalton; and her siblings, Alverna Howard, Jack Duzan and Bob Lemon. She is survived by her children, Rose (Ralph) Ferguson of Grove City, Clinton E. “Dick” Dalton, Jr. of Columbus, Rodger (Christine) Dalton of Marysville and Lisa (Mike) Hoy of Springfield; ten grandchildren, Scott (Christina) Parsons, Jody Faught, Jennifer Parsons, Shanna Dalton, Clinton E. Dalton III, Chad Dalton, Erika Hoy, Travis Hoy, Brandi Dalton and Tara Hoy; five great-grandsons, Austin, Justin, Carson, Benjamin and Levi; her brothers and sisters, Clarence (Judy) Duzan, Fearl Sexton, Ruby
(Rodney) Hall, Linda (Russell) McCleese, Joe Lemon, Penny (Arty) Potter and Kathy Daulton; a sister-in-law, Helen Dalton; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Underwood Funeral Home where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Mark Current will officiate and burial will be beside her husband at Sunset Cemetery in
